Traction
Four decades of proven engineering, now backed to scale.
OKA's platform has been earning its reputation in the field since the 1980s. Today the business pairs that heritage with a refreshed Gen-5 product, strategic manufacturing partners, and a base of committed investors and advisors.
Proven in the field
The original OKA platform was developed for defence and mining, with more than A$35m invested in its IP and 453 vehicles built and fielded across decades of demanding service.
Acquisition & renewal
OKA's assets and intellectual property were secured, and the Gen-5 redevelopment program began, modernising a proven platform for a new generation of operators.
Gen-5 to market
The driveline was modernised, engine power lifted fourfold, and the platform achieved type approval for mass production, reaching TRL 8, technology-complete.
Strategic partnerships
A Letter of Intent was executed with Cummins for driveline supply, and in July 2026 Heads of Terms were agreed with Walkinshaw Automotive Group, Australia's largest vehicle manufacturer, to assemble the new-generation OKA — anchoring a capital-light, partner-led production model.
Scaling up
The Pre-Series A round opened in June 2026 to commence commercial Gen-5 production and enter global licensing agreements.
A$8m of pre-qualified demand for the first production run. The demand is there — this round funds the moment OKA meets it.
Waitlist demand
A$8m
Pre-qualified buyer interest, every buyer documented in the data room.
First production run
20+ vehicles
At A$350–400k each, spanning emergency response, mining, recreational and specialist fleets.
The qualification standard
01
A company director has spoken directly with the buyer.
02
Needs, use case and product knowledge confirmed.
03
Purchase price quoted.
04
Requested to join the waitlist for advance notice of build slots.
Deposits are deliberately not yet taken: OKA does not hold customer money while the Euro 6 powertrain is finalised. On the locked production specification, the waitlist converts to deposits and allocated build slots.
